Difference between Affiliate Marketing and Network Marketing?

Could anyone kindly explain what the difference is between "network marketing" and "affiliate marketing".
Thanks in advance.
Basically, network marketing is a kind of multi level marketing whereas network marketing, is done through commission based sales, there are not a lot of levels involved (unlike the MLM of network marketing). both have their own pros and cons. You could check out the sources i used to find out more information.
As far as I know
affiliate marketing programs is offered by affiliate networks. Also called partnership marketing or partnership networks. all offer some sort of commissions per sale, lead or subscription

Network Marketing involves recruiting people below you (a "downline"), and the more people you can recruit in your downline, the more you make in commissions. It’s sort of a legal pyramid scheme.
Affiliate marketing is selling products owned by other people and getting a set commission for each one you sell. It’s a way for you to start selling right away without needing to create your own product line and make some money.
Hope this helps a bit — there’s more info at the website below.
