Is affiliate marketing a short term business?

I mean is affiliate marketing is limited for certain time period?Or it has a long life?

I think it depends on what you are an affiliate for – I have been doing this for 4 years now and is my full time job. Also, if you pay attention there are more offline stores offering this same thing like Walmart and Target – don’t think they would even consider if they didn’t think this was the wave of the future – my recommendation is to start out with Amazon and narrow down a niche from there – something that you like.

Are you on peoplestring yet?

People String is a social site free like facebook however you earn while you do all you regular online activity accessed through the site. I mention them because when you sign up on it you will then have access to groups and sites that offer opportunities such as that ( pay per click, pay per survey, etc.) All you do is browse the groups to find them and while you do that your are earning points and cash.

Hi Maria,
Affiliate marketing is indeed a excellent model to promote your products. And there are thousands of affiliates waiting in affiliate networks, such as ClickBank and Commission Junction, to promote for you.

However, these are not the only networks available and which network you use and how useful the network is for you depends on the type of product you are selling. For instance, ClickBank is geared more toward digital products, while Commission Junction steers toward physical products and so on.

Here are a few tips:
Have a clean, easy to navigate sales page for your product and be sure to include any comments or testimonials from users of your product.

When setting up your merchant account at the affiliate networks, you will draw more affiliates to your product by offering at least 50% commission on sales, but you’ll do better at 65% or more.

Remember that affiliates get credit for sales by a ‘cookie’ that attaches the prospect to the affiliate. So, when you promote your product through email or whatever, do not use your own affiliate link so that you do not accidentally over write an affiliate.

Allow your affiliates to purchase your product through their affiliate link. They can then refer prospects based on their own experience with the product.

Later, if you find this system works well for you, you would want to consider having your own affiliate program for your products using software similar to Imember or IdevAffiliate.

is it illegal to affiliate market to yourself, so the money you get back you can knock off you CPU?

Okay so im planning on buying some merchandice from wholesalers, and i was reading about affiliate marketing. I see that you can get (on this particular site) 50% commission on sales that come as a result of your promotion. Can i set up an affiliate link, then buy my own merchandise through that link, so that i get the items from the cheap wholesale price, + the commision which will go towards my profits?

Maybe not illegal, but you have to make so many sales before you get a check. Check their terms and services.

Its against ANY aa program’s terms of service I gaurantee you this. If you use the same name and address to purchase the product as what you signed up for the AA program with, they will catch you for sure. also keep in mind you eventually have to give your Social Security number to AA programs because they do have to report your earnings to the IRS.

So you’d have to partner up with someone who’s interested in getting a discount like you are to make it work in some way.

Pay per click (PPC) is an Internet advertising model used on websites, where advertisers pay their host only when their ad is clicked. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. It is a pay-for-performance model: If an affiliate does not generate sales, it represents no cost to the merchant. Variations include banner exchange, pay-per-click, and revenue sharing programs.

so heres the thing , im an 18 year old kid looking to make a bit of money on-line.not trying to get rich or anything from this. but just make a decent amount like 2 thousand bucks a month. is affiliate marketing the way to go? im just trying to save up money to get some proper investment started. and how long do you think it would take me to get up and running.

affiliate marketing can be great and many people make a living this way.

If you plan to go this route, be prepared to spend a lot of time doing social networking, posting in social bookmarking sites, making a blog or multiple blogs, doing keyword research and the list goes on.

Also be prepared to spend money. Yup, if you plan on making any substantial amount of money, even $2000/mo, your going to have to spend money in some aspect of your campaign.

Try to stay away from using Google AdWords to promote your products if your just starting out. You’ll lose a lot of money fast if you don’t know what your doing.

What are some easy ways to make money through affiliate marketing?

I’m talking about programs similar (but not limited) to Adscend Media.
I don’t know coding or anything like that. I know people that do affiliate marketing work, and i’d like to get in on that myself.

Where are some places to go for this work? What can i do to make money if i don’t know coding/computer programming? Where can i get more info on how to work with affiliate marketing? Information on stuff like that would be greatly appreciated.

I am a full-time Affiliate Marketer and I received my training at WAU. It’s a great place to start and you will become an expert within weeks. I’m very happy with the income I earn, especially knowing its only limited by my actions or lack of actions.

I recommend you review the training, decide what kind of niche you want to dominate and take consistent action. Some of the Top Affiliate Marketers are earning 6 figures, most without investing any money other than training.

FYI: Be careful of those scammy "get-rich-quick" websites. This business takes effort and time, but extremely worth it in the end.

When someone runs the online business to achieve profitability quickly cause it uses all sorts of ways to succeed. Yet there remains a wrong act and not. I want to get clarification on the matter should not be done and what can be done. For example, a publisher of pay per click programs and others.

First of all PTC "businesses" are really unstable and not very profitable, thus not a very good idea.
The best strategy at managing a PTC program is giving people a chance to gain more profit than in any other PTC site. To achieve this your PTC business has to have a (standard member) $0.01 per click rate, 6+ ads and of course a rational cash out speed. If your business has this, then you’re the next GagaBux.
But to achieving this isn’t as easy as you think. You would need to have some kind of unique advertising system to hook up many advertisers. And of course with every new massive PTC site comes PayPal and it’s hate towards your business. Hackers that will constantly be attacking the website and cheaters attempting to abuse the loop holes in the PTC script. If you’re successful you may earn some profit out of this mess after all.
