Does pay-per-click advertising work?

I’m thinking about starting a Web site for residual income and need some help on various programs?
Yes and no. The question is, what is the purpose of your website? And would you rather KEEP those visitors on YOUR site, either for information or to contribute or perhaps buy YOUR product or service… or would you rather earn a few pennies and send them to someone else’s site?
A better solution… build something valuable to the point where you have a provable traffic record (using something like Webalyzer or Google Analytics) and then get targeted advertisers to pay to SHOW ads instead (pay-per-impression instead of pay-per-click).
